Kendrick Lamar is fresh off of curating a chart-topping soundtrack for the Black Panther movie, but his music is still being prominently featured in Hollywood. The newest trailer for The Equalizer 2 movie starring Denzel Washington was unveiled today (April 19), which features the Compton rapper's "Backseat Freestyle" record being played throughout.

The upcoming film, which hits theaters July 20, stars the veteran actor returning to his role as Robert McCall, a retired government agent who fights for his life against the Russian mob after they murder his friend.

"Denzel Washington returns to one of his signature roles in the first sequel of his career." the official synopsis reads. "Robert McCall serves an unflinching justice for the exploited and oppressed – but how far will he go when that is someone he loves?"

While the main hook of K. Dot's "Backseat Freestyle" is skipped over, the signature beat can be heard throughout the film's trailer. Towards the end, the third verse of the song featuring the Damn. hitmaker's fast-paced bars is played, which adds to the suspense of the action-packed movie.

"I roll in dough with a good grind, And I run at ho with a baton/That's a relay race with a bouquet, they say, "K, you goin' marry mines," he raps.

The film also stars Moonlight actor Ashton Sanders as well as actress Melissa Leo and actor Bill Pullman.
