More than a year after dropping his debut studio album, The Sun's Tirade, Isaiah Rashad reveals his new album is own the way.

Performing at the Buku Music + Art Project festival in New Orleans on March 10, Rashad confirmed the news to crowd, saying, "Album coming this summer, see y'all later, niggas."

The rapper has remained pretty quiet as of late, collaborating with Joey Purp and Ambre the 2017 track "No Way" and also remixing Tay-K's "The Race." Before that, Rashad was featured on labelmate SZA's album, Ctrl.

Should Rashad's next album actually drop this summer, it will be nearly two years since the release of The Sun's Tirade and four years since he dropped the Cilvia Demo EP. In a interview with XXL from 2016, the rapper said it took him a while to create his latest album because he was "coming to a realization about" what he really wanted to the project to be about.

"I realized I could’ve talked about anything, and then I listened to a lot of music to go along with what was going on," he said. "I tried that general 'have fun' shit and those were cool but I threw those out because they didn’t mean anything to me."

In related news, while Rashad has headlined his own tour in the past, the rapper is noticeably absent from the poster for Top Dawg Entertainment's upcoming The Championship Tour. The poster features the names of Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, SZA, SiR and Lance Skiiiwalker but Rashad's name appears no where. It's uncertain if the rapper will be added to the trek later but we'll have to wait until May 4 when the tour kicks off in Vancouver, Canada to find out.
