The recent school shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. is still a hot-button topic, with the tragic incident once again bringing up the issue of gun control. One of the more heart string-pulling stories coming out of the whole mess is about the school's football coach, Aaron Feis, who was reportedly shot to death while shielding students from the rampaging gunman. Lil Yachty is calling the coach a real-life superhero.

TMZ recently caught Lil Boat coming out of Los Angeles International Airport. The self-professed King of the Teens was blown away by Feis' selfless act. "For one, I think that's amazing," the rapper said. "That's movie scenes, you feel me. For someone to do that in real life, he had a good heart. Obviously, he was more than just a coach. In my eyes, when you do something like that, you're a superhero. You become greater than man."

Many are hoping Feis will be honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the upcoming 2018 ESPY Awards. Boat agrees. He added, "Honestly, bro, if the ESPYs didn't do it, that’s a problem."

According to a source close to the award show, the pick would be a "no brainer." The ESPY Award committee meets in April to discuss nominees. The 2018 ESPY Awards will air in July.

In other Yachty-related news, the Atlanta rapper recently revealed the cover and release date for his new album, Lil Boat 2.
