Lil Pump now has a platinum certification under his belt, as his monumental hit record, "Gucci Gang" has reached the prestigious status. The Recording Industry Academy of America reveals the major feat on their website, with the smash hit having officially reached platinum status on Jan. 11, 2018.

This is the first platinum certification for the 17-year-old star. "Gucci Gang," which originally stems from his self-titled debut album, dropped back in August and quickly became popularized amongst his cult fan base and the music community.

Although his recording contract has been voided due to him signing his deal when he was underage, "Gucci Gang" was released under Warner Bros. Records at the time.

Pump's big single made history on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, as it became the shortest song to reach the Top 10 since 1975. Back in November, "Gucci Gang" peaked at No. 3 on the charts and has now been on the charts for a total of 18 weeks. It currently sits in the No. 12 slot this week.

Tons of artists have been cosigning Pump's fan-favorite track, with many even doing their own remixes. Joyner Lucas also released his own remix of the song, which many perceived as a diss towards Pump.
