When it comes to old school hip-hop and the newer generation, there is an ongoing debate claiming the newer class doesn't hold a candle to classic hip-hop.

Now, it seems like Kodak Black takes offense to that and is calling out hip-hop from the 1990s. On Tuesday (Dec. 12), the "Tunnel Vision" rapper posted a meme on Instagram, which features a picture of himself and JAY-Z side-by-side. Titled "Rap In The 90's VS. Rap Now," the meme includes lyrics from Jay's 1998 song "Money, Cash, Hoes" and the lyrics from Kodak's "Can I."

Although Kodak tries to compare his lyrics to Hov's, the meme is a bit biased, as the JAY-Z side only features the "Money, Cash, Hoes" hook, while Kodak's side features one of his more lyrical verses. "Real Shit B Going On .. None Of Dat Hopscotch Shit," Kodak wrote in the caption.

It's not Kodak Black's first time rubbing old school hip-hop fans the wrong way. In 2016, the rapper hopped on Twitter and proclaimed, "I'm better than Pac and Biggie."

Kodak also isn't the first rapper from the newer generation to call out the hypocrisy in the 1990s hip-hop versus 2010s hip-hop debate. In November, 21 Savage posted a note on Twitter asking why "so many of these 'Og Rappers' judge the new generation."

The rapper continued, "They say we make drug user music like making drug selling music is better what's the difference?" He added, "Artists been snorting cocaine and smoking crack since the 70s and 80s did y'all forget that? Instead of judging how about y'all make a change."
