Keak Da Sneak in Critical Condition After Being Shot
Keak Da Sneak is in critical condition after being shot this morning in Richmond, Calif. Details are still emerging, but the Richmond Police Department confirmed that Keak, real name Charles Kente Williams, is "hanging in there."
Fellow Bay Area rapper Mistah F.A.B. shared the news that his big homie had successfully made it through surgery and was in recovery. F.A.B. posted and then deleted a video message on Instagram, taking this unfortunate moment to offer advice.
"We need to stop waiting 'til we hear news of something to show our appreciation for someone," said F.A.B. in the vid. "We gotta start loving each other while we here, man. Giving each other roses while we here, man."
This isn't the first time Keak has been in this situation. The hyphy rapper was shot back in January and forced to use crutches, but that graze with death didn't stop Keak from performing a few days later. Many in the hip-hop community have shared their positive thoughts for Keak on social media.
XXL has reached out to Keak's team for comment. Prayers up to the rapper on a speedy recovery.
