Meek Mill Thinks It’s Odd Trick Daddy Went on Instagram to Diss Him
Meek Mill caused quite a stir when he claimed his Dreamchasers movement influenced folks in Miami to ride around on yachts and rock Cuban links. Within days, Uncle Luke and Trick Daddy made sure to let the MMG rapper know their take on his opinion. For his part, Trick used Instagram to throw some shade at the Philadelphia rapper.
“Miami niggas are not followers… Don’t use my city or my niggas for character references,” Trick says in an Instagram vid directed toward Meek. “I will get out of character. Do not fuck with me. Dirt bikes, Cuban links, and Yachts? We cocaine cowboys, nigga.”
Speaking on Trick Daddy's Instagram diss during a very recent interview with Power 99's Cosmic Kev, Meek explained that using Instagram to discuss any disputes with other people is, as far as he can tell, uncommon in Philly.
“I come from Philadelphia, all our OG's, they don’t get on Instagram where we’re from. If they wanna say something to somebody, they get in contact with them and say it, especially when it’s that type of anger,” Meek says. “This goes out to everyone in the rap industry, from hereon till a thousand years, I will always be handled with respect in live person."
Whether or not Meek and Trick handle this issue in person remains to be seen. If they do, it might have to be during a promotional stop for Meek Milly's recently released Wins & Losses album, a project he's recently made available for free streaming on Tidal.
Check out Meek's interview below. The bit about Trick Daddy comes in at the 9:45 mark. He also says he's gonna check DJ Akademiks for not posting his album on social media.
