6lack is slowly grinding his way to the top. He recently reached the milestone of selling 1 million records, doing so with his single, "Prblms."

The crooner received his platinum plaque at a recent event. Surround by his team and fans, he addressed the big moment saying, "I'm just happy to be here. I can't believe I sold a million records," he told the crowd. The footage also revealed that 6lack has cut his signature dreadlocks and is now rocking a low cut.

6lack's year continues to get better and better. After releasing his debut album, Free 6lack, last November, 2017 has produced some highlight moments. In February, he was added to The Weeknd's Star Boy: Legend of the Fall Tour.

The same month, he welcomed his first child. “I was about to go on stage all the way across the country when I got the call that your mom was going into labor early, and all I could do was cry until I heard you make your first sounds," he wrote on Instagram about the experience of becoming a father. "A moment that I’ll never get back, and may never get over, but a moment I feel like I prepared myself for. God makes no mistakes. Just like that, my life revolves around a new person, and that person is an extension of me. The greatest feeling ever.”

He made his network television debut performing "Prblms" on The Late Late Show With James Corden in April. Expect much more from the R&B star in the coming months.
