YG’s ‘My Krazy Life’ Album Goes Platinum
My Krazy Life was critically acclaimed and spawned multiple hit songs. The Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan-assisted "My Nigga," which served as the lead single, went triple platinum. The Drake-assisted "Who Do You Love?" also earned platinum certification while "Left, Right" secured a gold plaque of its own.
YG is certainly happy to see My Krazy Life become so successful, but the LP has put him under the microscope of the LAPD. Cops in Los Angeles are upset about the album cut "Meet the Flockers," which three burglars recently claimed inspired them to commit crime.
The track previously sparked outrage in China and upset Chinese-Americans due to its lyrics. The song encourages home invaders to target Chinese neighborhoods for the biggest scores.
“First, you find a house and scope it out/Find a Chinese neighborhood, cause they don’t believe in bank accounts/Second, you find a crew and a driver, someone who ring the doorbell/And someone that ain’t scared to do what it do/Third, you pull up at the spot/Park, watch, ring the doorbell and knock/Four, make sure nobody is home (knock knock)/They gone, okay it’s on," YG raps on "Meet the Flockers."
