The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Considered one of the more popular rappers online today, Ugly God is here to represent for the youth of tomorrow. Hailing out of Houston, the 20-year-old rhymer is quickly becoming one of the new hip-hop acts to watch. With an unorthodox style of rhyming and a persona like no other, he's managed to make a mark in the game in a short amount of time. Ugly God's numbers online speak for themselves, as the "Water" rapper has accumulated over 33 million plays on SoundCloud, with additional 15 million views on YouTube. As Ugly God currently tours the country, he's hoping to make his buzz in 2017 even bigger with the forthcoming launch of his debut album.
