Silk Money's Pitch for 2017 XXL Freshman

The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

If you follow the hip-hop collective Divine Council, then you know about $ilk Money. The Richmond, Va. native made a name for himself, along with his brethren, in 2016. They signed to Epic Records and struck gold with singles like "Dick in Da Dope," "BDSB" and "Decemba," which earned a remix from André 3000. Silk and Divine Council have released an EP, Council World, and went on a national tour with Young Thug and 21 Savage. Read up on $ilk in XXL's The Break to get more familiar with him.
