Common did his part to help raise money for Planned Parenthood. The Chicago rapper performed at a benefit concert for the organization on Thursday (Jan 19.), giving a show for a packed crowd.

During the set, which ranged from older cuts to newer jams, the "I Used to Love H.E.R." rapper addressed those in attendance. “I'm grateful that you guys came out to support our women," he said. "As I was thinking about having the honor to perform for Planned Parenthood, I thought about how not only is this about our free choices that women should have to make the choices with what they want to do with their bodies, but women should also be able to have access to healthcare to be able to get what they need."

Planned Parenthood is in danger of losing its funding, after facing opposition from the newly seated Trump regime. Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards and the organization isn't going out without a fight. “We plan to send a clear message to the incoming administration that millions of people across this country are prepared to fight attacks on reproductive health care and abortion services,” Richards said in a statement about the event.

Over the weekend, pro-women and anti-Trump rallies were going on throughout the country. In one of the boldest acts of defiance, Jaden Smith and Shia LeBeouf launched a four-year-long anti-Trump live stream in front of New York’s City’s Museum of the Moving Image.
