Wale got hit with a lawsuit to the tune of $25,000. Concert promoters are suing the former XXL Freshman for failing to show up at a concert over the summer in New York, according to TMZ.

The concert promoters, Upfront and Personal Global, filed suit against Wale after the D.C. rapper allegedly skipped out on the performance. TMZ obtained documents showing a signed contract between Wale's camp and Upfront, plus two separate wire transfers for $12,500 each. Upfront claims that the Ambition rapper went completely silent on them after the company asked for a refund. Upfront wants their money back plus interest.

XXL reached out to Wale's reps for a comment about the situation, but the MC already responded to the allegations this afternoon (Nov. 7) on Instagram. The Maybach Music Group artist claimed he showed up to the event, but the promoter did not allow him to perform.

"That's not true," Wale wrote. "I ain't even spoke to nobody. They told me I couldn't go on stage cuz I was 'too late' cuz my DJ wasn't there... This my first time hearin it."

The new lawsuit adds to some of the unpleasantness in Wale's life. In early October, cameras captured footage of him getting into an altercation with a woman outside a nightclub in Los Angeles. In much more positive news, the "My PYT" artist and his girlfriend Chloe Alexis welcomed his first child over the summer.
