Nicki Minaj, Lil Jon and More Rappers React to Third 2016 Presidential Debate
The third presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump took place Wednesday night (Oct. 19) and as was the case with the previous two showdowns, more memes and soundbites arose than anything else. As Ice T wrote on Twitter, "At this point the election is only good for Jokes…SMH."
Trump caused a stir online by calling Clinton a "nasty woman" and using the phrase "bad hombres," Lil Jon using the latter has a hashtag. This past weekend, Lil Jon confirmed on Twitter that while taping the Celebrity Apprentice, Trump had called him "Uncle Tom," writing on Twitter, "When this... incident happened... in the boardroom, several of my cast mates and I addressed Mr. Trump immediately when we heard the comment. I can’t say if he knew what he was actually saying or not, but he did stop using that term once we explained its offensiveness. I also want to be clear that I don’t agree with many of the statements Mr. Trump has said during his current run for President.” Earlier this week Jon posted to Instagram sharing that he had voted early.
Nicki Minaj meanwhile compared the debate to the 2012 movie The Campaign, saying that Trump is like Will Ferrell's character. "Its the clueless face that rlly has me laughing," she wrote. "It’s as tho he really doesn’t know its bad. On another note, I think Michelle should absolutely run in 8 years."
