Tech N9ne’s Songs “Hood Go Crazy” and “Fragile” Go Gold

Tech N9ne is making more waves as an independent hip-hop artist. The Kansas City rapper scored two gold records with his singles "Hood Go Crazy" and "Fragile" officially being certified by the RIAA.

"This is a beautiful testament to the loyalty of my fans," Tech N9ne said of the accomplishment. "Thanks to all the Technicians that made this possible and have made Strange Music the number one independent record company in the universe, without them none of this is possible."

"Hood Go Crazy" is Tech N9ne's highest charting song as a lead artist, peaking at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track featured 2 Chainz and B.o.B, and appeared on Tech's 2015 album Special Effects. "Fragile," which comes from the rapper's 2013 album, Something Else, was performed during Tech's national television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The single featured Kendrick Lamar, Tech's labelmates ¡Mayday! and singer Kendall Morgan.

"Hood Go Crazy" and "Fragile" are not Tech N9ne's first gold records. The Strange Music boss first earned a gold record in 2013 with his fan favorite single "Caribou Lou." The song originally appeared on Tech's 2006 album, Everready (The Religion).

Tech N9ne's next opportunity to earn a gold plaque could come from his new album, The Storm. The much anticipated LP was originally scheduled to drop on Sept. 9 but got pushed back. Tech's 16th solo album is now set to drop on Dec. 9 via Strange Music.
