MarQ Spekt and Blockhead have teamed up once again for a new album titled Keep Playin. The duo's latest project is a follow-up to their 2014 LP JustPlayWitIt, one of that year's best yet most slept-on projects. The Broady Champs MC and acclaimed producer link up to craft yet another gem that any underground hip-hop fan is sure to enjoy.

The duo's new album features 13 tracks filled with MarQ Spekt's unique brand of grilchy rhymes paired up with Blockhead's modern twist on boom bap production. Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Conway the Machine and Karniege are among the notable guests on this HiPNOTT Records release.

In addition to this sophomore effort with Blockhead, MarQ Spekt also released a new album with Mobonoix titled Bionic Jazz. This second album is billed as a freeform hip-hop LP. It takes inspiration from free jazz which altered standard conventions of the genre. The project includes a diverse lineup of producers including MF DOOM, Lex Boogie, Kool AK of The Micranots, Bean One and Blockhead.

Both albums are available to stream for free via Bandcamp, and can be found on various streaming services like Apple Music or Spotify. Digital copies of each LP can be purchased for just $7. And if you prefer physical copies, you can grab a CD of either album for $10. Check out the Bandcamp streams for Keep Playin' and Bionic Jazz below.
