Drake's seventh annual OVO Festival is going down all weekend in T Dot, ending tomorrow (Aug. 1). Beenie Man was supposed to show up at the event, but had to change plans after visa issues and contracting the dreaded Zika virus.

The dancehall legend announced his misfortune on Instagram. Posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed surrounded by nurses who appear to be running blood tests on the him, he revealed the details of his situation in the caption. "Jah know...dah week ya deal wid me a way!! No visa fi mi Canada show (I apologize again to my fans in case you haven't seen the press release) Zika Virus hol' mi. The same Zika mosquito gi mi dengue. Blood test, injections, pills," he wrote.

Despite the diagnosis, the Caribbean artist is very optimistic. "Wi a hol firm still. Selassie a guide I n I right through so once mi have life me a give thanks. #Unstoppable," he added.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the disease is mostly spread by infected mosquitoes. The symptoms of the virus include fever, rash, joint pain and eye redness. There is currently no vaccine or medication specifically for Zika.

Beanie was set to perform last night (July 30) at OVO fest alongside, Trinidad's Machel Montano. In his absence, Montano was still able to put on a big show bringing out Kranium, Sean Paul and We The Best artist, Mavado.
