From the mud to the hills of Los Angeles, Lil Durk has had quite the come up in a short period of time. In his latest visual for "Mud," Durk, who is dripped up and draped out in jewelry, gets behind the wheel of a Ferrari and tears up the streets as he makes it clear that he only has himself to thank for his success. Directed by AZae Productions, the visual keeps the momentum from his 2015 mixtape 300 Days 300 Nights moving.

Durk's name popped up in headlines back in February when a leaked song of his called "Ain't Did Shit for Me" contained shots at his current label, Def Jam.

"They say I'm signed to Def Jam, no I'm not / I'm signed to OTF, they took they spot / Fuck them niggas, I hope they rot," he rapped.

Durk is certainly not the first disgruntled rapper to take a shot at their respective label on wax. Hoping to clear things up, XXL reached out to the Chicago native and he specified that when the song was made, he was still unsigned.

“I’m definitely signed to Def Jam,” he confirmed over the phone. “The song got leaked and it was a freestyle I did a long time ago. At the time I made the song, I was independent.”

More recently, the Remember My Name MC traveled down south to work with Young Thug and Young Dolph for "Trap House," which the trio released a video for earlier this month.
