Kanye West's The Life of Pablo unveiling at Madison Square Garden was such a next-level event that stories are still coming out about it months later. Sitting down with Seth Meyers on a recent episode of Late Night, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour told a story about trying to exit the event prematurely and winding up lost in the arena's basement.

As Wintour explains in the above clip, she arrived at the event about 30 minutes early and sat in a VIP section by herself, waiting for the Kardashian family and Jay Z to join her. "So eventually they did turn up, and the Life of Pablo concert started and the migrant chic fashion show started and they were both wonderful," she says. "But after 45 minutes, I did happen to notice that Jay Z had slid away so I thought maybe I could sneak out after him without anybody noticing. But I slid into the basement of Madison Square Garden and I was lost there for half an hour, asking various people to let me out. I was really in tears."

Wintour and West have developed a friendly relationship in recent years, with Kanye attempting to, and eventually succeeding at, getting his wife Kim Kardashian on the cover of the famous fashion mag. Kanye and Kim covered the April 2014 issue of the magazine. West even provided Wintour with an in-song shout out on 2012's "Cold," starting out his verse with "Dinner with Anna Wintour, racing with Anja Rubik / I told you motherfuckers it was more than the music."
