ASAP Ferg Freestyles Over Wu-Tang Clan’s “Triumph” Beat

What it is with A$AP Mob and classic Wu-Tang Beats? Earlier this year A$AP Rocky hopped on Drake's "Wu-Tang Forever" and now A$AP Ferg is adding his own touch to Wu-Tang Clan’s “Triumph” beat. Hear him spit lava over the RZA track above.

With his new album Always Strive and Prosper on the way, A$AP Ferg is making his promo rounds across the country. The “Shabba” rapper recently released the mono-chromatic album cover and has been teasing fans with hints about the album ever since. Ferg stopped by the Power 106 LA Cruz Morning on Tuesday (March 22) to chop it about his sophomore project and spit some breakfast bars over a blend of Wu-Tang’s “Triumph” track and Jadakiss’ “Put Ya Hands Up.”

Lasting nearly three minutes, the verse goes hard with the Trap Lord mentioning everything from weed to puffing it in a cabana with Madonna and Rihanna. “Dreams of fucking an R&B bitch and I ain’t start picking yet/First I’m go after Madonna cause I know she’ll like Rihanna/Maybe we can go to Tijuana and puff marijuana," Ferg rhymed off the dome. After about a minute into the freestyle the DJ switched up the beat and threw on “Put Ya Hands Up” and Ferg proceeded to body that too.

The freestyle is the latest offering from Fergalicious. He confirmed that in addition to the Future assisted “New Level,” the follow-up to 2013’s Trap Lord will also include guest appearances from Chuck D, DJ Mustard and Ty Dolla $ign as well as Swizz Beatz and Chris Brown. It’s been a long time coming and fans are excited to hear how the Harlem MC has progressed over the last three years.
