Shy Glizzy Got His Chain Snatched at a Memphis Show

Memphis may have quickly become one of Shy Glizzy's least favorite cities. Shots were fired at a Glizzy show in the Tennessee town over the weekend, and in the rush to escape the club, the D.C. rapper had his chain(s) stolen. WREG in Memphis is covering the story, reporting that the robbery took place at Dream Nightclub early Saturday evening.

Chaos ensued after shots were fired, with patrons throwing a chair through a glass window to escape. WREG obtained video from the evening, though was unable to gather any eye witness quotes as those at the club were too afraid to talk. As for the gunmen and chain snatcher, pictures and videos were reportedly shared via social media, with the perpetrator bragging about his crime.

Glizzy is currently out supporting his mixtape with Zaytoven, For Trappers Only. Glizzy has been noticeably absent from social media in the aftermath of the incident, though WREG is reporting that some rappers are offering rewards to find the person who took his chain. According to KollegeKidd, Glizzy is on his way back to Memphis to reclaim his chain, though those who stole it apparently want $50,000 to return it. For that kind of bread Glizzy might as well just get another one and charge it to the game. Rappers getting their chains snatched is nothing new, and it's likely best Glizzy takes the L and keeps moving.
