Public Enemy fans sure know how to show the love. While touring in the U.K., the rap group found themselves stranded at a local record shop after a signing when a taxi failed to pick them up for a show at Sheffield arena. A member of the PE entourage asked the room, "“Does anyone have a car? We’re running late.”

50-year-old British photographer Kevin Wells offered his Ford Focus to the group, who were set to take the stage in just 45 minutes. Wells described the experience of driving Chuck D, Flavor Flav and crew to The Guardian as "very, very surreal."

"We all walked to the car—Flavor Flav, Chuck D and two of their entourage—and they all just piled in," Wells said. "I’m local to Sheffield so I know all the back streets to get there pretty sharpish so I didn’t feel too tense. I knew I could get them there in time.”

The surprises continued, as the group responded to Wells's in-car mix which featured a particularly famous Queen song. "It was on low but suddenly when 'Bohemian Rhapsody' came on, one of the entourage at the front shouted ‘Bo Rap! Waynes World!’ and they all started headbanging in the back of the car. I kept looking in the rear view mirror and I could see Flavor Flav with his sunglasses on and his big clock and I couldn’t believe it."

Making the set was no issue for Wells, who got the group to the show in 15 minutes. Convincing the venue that he did in fact have Public Enemy in the rear of his Focus on th other hand was a trickier matter.
