A substitute music teacher at Fiske Elementary School in Chicago is in trouble after quizzing students on Chief Keef. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the teach reportedly gave six-grade students an assignment on Chief Keef that included researching his arrest record and who shot the rapper when he was 16.

“I had never heard of him. But after careful research I found out that his music is about having sex, using the ‘B’ word, anti-police and supporting gangs,” parent Katrina Sanders told the Sun-Times.

Sanders is just one of the parents who is upset and voicing their disapproval.

“What happened to studying notes, playing instruments?” Sanders said. “My son had to go on the computer to see who this clown is because we are not exposed to this in the home or church.”

DNAinfo.com reports that the teacher also gave students assignments on artists such as Nicki Minaj, Fetty Wap, Chris Brown and Tyga. According to the aforementioned Katrina Sanders, her son Daniel also came home with questions about the Illuminati and handouts included profanity.

A spokeswoman for Chicago Public Schools said that Fiske's principal was unaware of the subject matter the substitute was giving students.

“This inappropriate project was immediately suspended by the principal as soon as she learned about it. While teachers have flexibility in making assignments, CPS requires them to provide age-appropriate material in the classroom,” spokeswoman Emily Bittner said.
