Fans at Osheaga Festival in Montreal were treated to an unexpected bonus, last night. Kendrick Lamar headlined the Canadian showcase and during his set he brought out Yasiin Bey who he happened to notice was taking in the show from the side of the stage. The two set those in attendance into a frenzy with a rousing performance of Kendrick's triumphant latest single "Alright." Bey grabs the mic and helps push the action forward rapping his own version of the song's chorus. The TDE rapper later tells the crowd Bey is one of the people that inspired him to rap. The crowd was definitely into it as the sea of humanity looks like an ocean wave as fireworks burst off in the distance.

Lamar released the video for the To Pimp A Butterfly standout track in June. The Colin Tilley-directed clip finds King Kendrick taking a surreal tour through the streets of Los Angeles, at times suspended high above the pavement via steel cables.

He later performed the track atop a police cruiser during his inspired performance at the BET Awards. Last week, Cleveland State University students used the songs lyrics while protesting against the police during a #BlackLivesMatter event.

Since To Pimp A Butterfly, Lamar has been the man on the festival scene having headlined the Essence Festival, Pitchfork Festival, 2015 Wireless Music Festival, Hot 97's Summer Jam, Sasquatch Festival and more.
