The individual who shot Compton rapper YG early yesterday morning is still at large, but authorities believe they might be one step close identifying the perpetrator thanks to the studio's security cameras. According to TMZ, multiple cameras might have captured the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department have requested the video and should be able to obtain it and look over it for evidence within the next 48 hours.

Karen Civil tweeted that rapper is doing just fine.

As previously reported, the MC was shot early yesterday morning while recording at Studio City studio. The frequent DJ Mustard collaborator was hit three times in the hip by an unidentified shooter. After the dust settled members of his crew drove him to a nearby hospital where he was treated. His status was immediately unknown, but by mid-afternoon media maven Karen Civil tweeted out the update, "YG is doing fine. Nothing life threatening." Later, DJ Mustard also confirmed YG was doing well posting a picture of the dynamic duo on his Instagram account along with the caption, "The kid str8 but a little prayer ain't never hurt!!!!" According to TMZ sources, there were a number of people in the studio prior to the shooting and a fight might have been a precursor to shots being fired. YG was reportedly "very uncooperative" with LAPD's investigation into the matter. So it looks like that video tape might be their biggest clue to apprehending the shooter.
