Method Man will be joining the cast of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele's new film. Variety reports that Method is currently in negotiations to join Keanu. Method is repped by CAA and Smart Girl Productions. Keanu will be directed by Peter Atencio and produced by Key and Peele along with Peter Principato, Paul Young and Joel Zadak. The movie is about a group of friends who impersonate drug dealers in order to save their feline buddy who is named Keanu. Peele wrote the script along with Alex Rubens.

The Wu-Tang member will appear in Judd Apatow’s film Trainwreck that releases in July. He also co-starred in The Cobbler, which released in March. He spoke to XXL about taking acting more seriously because of The Cobbler

"I’m more grounded," he said. "I take it more serious than I have in the past. I’m going to my classes, [getting] coached, everything, the works. You don’t want anybody just jumping into this genre and thinking they can cut the line and not do the homework in a field that requires you to be good or even great."

This isn't the only movie Key & Peele are creating. If you watch their show, a standout segment is the substitute teacher sketch. In an interview with EWthe duo revealed that Keegan's Mr. Garvey character is coming to theaters. “We’re in negotiations at Paramount to make a Substitute Teacher movie. Two of our writers are penning it. Well, they’re not penning it as we speak — it’s getting there.”
