Today, April 27, is the 28th birthday of Atlanta rapper K Camp.

Although the ATL upstart has only been in the rap game a few years, Kristopher Campbell, otherwise known as K Camp, has enjoyed meteoric success nonetheless with viral singles like 2014's "Money Baby," "Cut Her Off" and his current banger "Lil Bit," which is in heavy rotation online and across the airwaves.

Camp began making music in high school and has released over five mixtapes to date. Camp inked a deal with Interscope Records in March 2014 and subsequently dropped his first major label EP, In Due Time, in April of the same year. The Show & Prove alum dropped the mixtape One Way, in January of 2015 and collabed with the likes of Juicy J, Chris Brown, and Plies. The rising star with infectious hooks gained enough momentum to earn a spot on the 2015 XXL Freshman cover alongside Fetty Wap, DeJ Loaf, Shy Glizzy and more.

After being named a Freshman, K dropped his debut album Only Way Is Up in September of 2015, led by the singles "Lil Bit" and "Comfortable." The LP debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. Since 2015, K Camp has kept his fans happy with a steady stream of mixtapes, the most recent of which was K.I.S.S. 4 tape in March of 2017.

Carrying his energy throughout the rest of 2017 and the beginnings of 2018, K Camp continued feeding his fans with dope new music. In October 2017, he dropped off his Slumlords 2 mixtape. Here's to hoping for a new album in the very near future. For now, though, let's just focus on what is.

Happy Birthday, K Camp!
