Today, April 28, is the birthday Atlanta rapper and Goodie Mobb member Big Gipp.

Gipp made his first appearance on wax in 1994 when he was featured on OutKast's debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik as a part of Goodie Mob with Cee-Lo, T-Mo, and Khujo.
Known for his signature Southern drawl, Gipp's voice is easily distinguishable on the song "Git Up, Git Out."

Rising to regional prominence in the South, Gipp dropped his own solo album, Mutant Mindframe, in 2003. The Epic Records signee has also released collaborative projects with St. Lunatics' Ali under the duo name Ali & Gipp. The two dropped a collab album, Kinfolk, in 2007. In recent history, Gipp has made another go at solo success by dropping mixtapes like Mr. Get Down in anticipation of his second solo album, Zagga.

Happy Birthday, Gipp!
