Rappers giving lectures at Universities and Colleges aren't anything new. Lil B gave a hour-long lecture last week at Carnegie Mellon University sharing hilarious thoughts on Gerlado Riveria (“I don’t know if he even is classified as a journalist”) and references to his famous cooking dance. Kanye West made a speaking appearance at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History in Great Britain and discussed his ego, Nicki Minaj’s verse on “Monster,” Obama and much, much more. Bun B has been a guest lecturer at Rice University's Hip-Hop and Religion class for about five years along with Professor Anthony Pinn. He spoke to us about the move to bring the class online because of the rise in popularity. Hip-hop has been gradually inching closer and closer into academia—whether some like it or not—and MCs have been lending their time to the cause.

Here are videos of 8 rappers lecturing in Universities.
