1996: Gangsta rapper and N.W.A member Eazy E dropped his second and final full-length album, Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton. 

Str8 off tha Streetz was Eazy E's follow up to his 1988 double-platinum debut album, Eazy-Duz-It and was released eight months after the MC's March 1995 death. Eazy E's last LP was a huge success thanks to the charting singles "Tha Muthaphukkin' Real" and "Just tah Let U Know" as well as a hefty diss track towards former N.W.A member Dr. Dre and Death Row Records, "Wut Would You Do." The album would go on to be certified gold by RIAA.

Referred to as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap," Eazy E is best known as a founding member of the infamous West Coast rap group, N.W.A (Niggaz With Attitude). With N.W.A is credited with promulgating the West Coast gangsta rap genre. N.W.A's story is set to be played out on screen as a biopic entitled Straight Outta Compton. The movie is expected to hit theaters August 14.
