2 Chainz revealed to XXL that he has future plans to run for mayor of his hometown, College Park, Ga. This news comes off the heels of his recent on-air argument with Nancy Grace on a hot-topic issue: weed.

Nearly two weeks ago, the two engaged in a verbal sparring match revolving around the legalization of marijuana. Despite Grace's relentless smash-mouth approach, fans crowned Chainz as the victor in their debate. Even though 2 Chainz was given the win, he acknowledged that a second bout with Grace is doubtful.

"I moved on, man," 2 Chainz told XXL. "I don't know what's going on up there. I know I've been getting a lot of praise and everything. I definitely appreciate the love that came behind me."

After leaving Grace stumped, 2 Chainz's confidence is at an all-time high. His supporters are calling for him to run for mayor of his hometown. And he's seriously considering it.

"I'm a musician, not a politician," he said. "I'm supposed to be running for mayor in College Park. I got everybody wishing. I'm really gonna do this little mayor thing in College Park. I'm just trying to make sure I have the right qualifications."

If Chainz follows through, he's got a strong resume. The rapper graduated from Alabama State University with a 4.0 GPA. But, as he hinted, everything has to fall into place before he walks into the world of politics.
