Happy Birthday, U-God!

Today, Nov. 11, marks the 46th birthday of Lamont Hawkins A.K.A. U-God! U-God started off his rap career as a beatboxer for Cappadonna in Staten Island. As a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, U-God was instrumental to the rise of one the most successful rap acts in hip-hop history. After first making an appearance on the Wu-Tang Clan's first single, "Protect Ya Neck," U-God has released numerous solo albums starting with Golden Arms Redemption in 1999. U-God has appeared on many of his fellow Clan members' albums over the years, has toured the world over and still links up with Clan members like GZA like in 2015's "Heads Up".
