Today, Nov. 10, marks the birthday of Philadelphia rapper Eve, who now turns 40.

Her debut album Let There Be Eve… Ruff Ryder’s First Lady in 1999 earned her the respect as a capable MC, and placed the Philly native as one of the industry's most standout rap stars.

Eve has won a Grammy for her collaboration with Gwen Stefani on “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” and started her own clothing line, Fetish. Eve released her latest album Lip Lockin 2013, and starred alongside Nicki Minaj, Common and Ice Cube in Barbershop: The Next Cut in 2016.

In 2017, Eve joined DMX, The Lox, Swizz Beatz, Drag-On and Cassidy for the Ruff Ryders Entertainment 20th anniversary reunion show at Brooklyn's Barclay Center, and most recently appeared on the remix to Missy Elliot's "I'm Better" with Lil' Kim and Trina.

Happy Birthday Eve!
