Last night (Oct. 30), New York's popular radio station Power 105.1 celebrated a night of good music and even better vibes with Powerhouse 2014 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Hosted by some of the station's radio personalities like The Breakfast Club (Charlamagne The God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy) and their newest edition, Angie Martinez, the night was filled with a buzz worthy line-up and an impressive set of special guests. Powerhouse 2014 featured surprise performances by newest Columbia Records signee Dej Loaf, hip-hop's returning femcee Remy Ma, and Brooklyn's hometown hero Jay Z.

Migos kicked off the show with a variety of high energy tracks, including the initial song that paved their way to stardom: "Versace." The hip-hop collective kept the crowd on their feet and some moving in their seats as they turned up on stage with more recent hits like "Fight Night" and "Handsome & Wealthy." Fellow newcomer  on the scene, Tinashe, hit the stage shortly after to grace the audience with her dance moves and radio smash record "2 On." The California native also re-introduced her latest single "Pretend" featuring A$AP Rocky.

The lineup continued with more of the newer artists like Childish Gambino, Kid Ink and Bobby Shmurda. Gambino drove the crowd nuts when he performed his addicting single "3005" and Kid Ink had the entire arena missing summer when he took to the mic to sing "Show Me" and "Main Chick." An eruption of cheers and screams broke out when fellow viral sensation Bobby Shmurda shut down the stage. The sea of people did their best rendition of the "Shmoney Dance" when he performed "Hot Nigga," as well as his latest single "Bobby Bitch." While fans anticipate the release of his forthcoming album Mac And Cheese, French Montana represented for the boogie down Bronx performing several songs to get the ladies twerking and the fellas bopping. Getting the crowd hype with singles like "Don't Panic," "Ocho Cinco," "Ain't Worried About Nothin," and the classic "Pop That." French wasn't alone though. The Moroccan rapper brought Chinx Drugz and Remy Ma out. The packed arena didn't know how to act when they saw Remy. It was only right for her to perform "Whuteva" and "Lean Back" to keep the Bronx pride alive.

T.I. tore down the stage as he let loose on a plethora of hits both old and new. The self-proclaimed king of the south controlled the energy of the arena performing hits like, "Top Back," "Whatever You Like," "What You Know" and "Mediocre." As if his set didn't have everyone hype already, T.I. introduced Dej Loaf to the stage to perform her club banger "Try Me."

The crowd went crazy and instantly began singing the lyrics to the infectious chorus. After giving the rising artist her first taste of concert life, T.I. regained the attention of the audience by closing out his set with another club banger, "About The Money" featuring Young Thug.

J.Cole stole the audience's attention with a dramatic video of police brutality and injustice joined by his Michael Brown tribute record, "Be Free." He received a standing ovation when the video ended. J. Cole  lightened up the mood by performing a bunch of chart topping records including "Nobody's Perfect," "Work Out," "Can't Get Enough," and "Power Trip." While Powerhouse 2014's lineup consisted of mostly hip-hop acts, the r&b artists held their own at the show. Ne-Yo reminded everyone just how many hit singles he's actually had and introduced his latest dance record, "She Knows," which contains a slightly different sound than what listeners are used to. Today's love songs wouldn't be complete if Chris Brown and Trey Songz weren't added  in the mix. After confirming a future joint tour, it was only right to have the two performing back to back. Ladies were screaming from left to right when the two hit the stage. Trey Songz perfomed hits like "Bottoms Up," "Dive In," and "All We Do" while Breezy teased the crowd to see if they knew some of his earliest work and his latest with songs like, "X," "Strip," and "Poppin." The brothers from another mother closed their set by performing their collaborative hits  "Tuesday (Remix)" and "Songs On 12 Play."

Closing out the show was the snowman himself,  Jeezy. The wait was worth it because no one expected the surprise guest that came with him. Jay Z hit the stage with Jeezy to perform their street anthem "Seen It All." The Brooklyn native later revealed an important announcement to the crowd that he desperately didn't want them to forget: "Real niggas is back in style!" Overall, Powerhouse 2014 did not disappoint.
