British R&B singer Jay Sean has decided to part ways with Cash Money Records after six years on the label. Sean dropped three albums while on CMR but appears to be looking for a change of scenery. The label has had its share of controversy recently with both Tyga and Lil Twist expressing their disdain. But, according to the singer, his split was amicable. "I had and still maintain a great relationship with Slim and Baby," he told Billboard. "They believed in me and my talent and our partnership obviously garnered a lot of pop success."

Sean looks to be taking his career in a different direction. "It got to the point where I was chasing pop success and 'the smash' when really my heart wasn't in it anymore," he said. "That's not why I got into this game." The uber popular UK artist will be putting on a new mixtape titled, Mistress II, in November.
