Kendrick Lamar is being sued over a sample that was used on the memorable track "Keisha's Song" off his 2011 independent LP, Section.80. The accuser is Eric Woolfson of the platinum group The Alan Parsons Project. Woolfson's representation, Woolfsongs Limited is accusing K. Dot of using parts of their song "Old and Wise" for "Keisha's Song," Kendrick's graphic tale of a young prostitute, without their consent. According to the suit, Woolfsongs attempted to resolve the matter with Lamar's representation in April of this year but were unable to reach an agreement do to the defendant's unresponsiveness. The plaintiff is reportedly seeking compensatory damages.

Kendrick is busy working on the follow-up to his platinum selling major-label debut Good Kid M.A.A.D. City.
