Pharrell Reveals ‘Happy’ Was Originally Recorded By Cee-Lo

Pharrell has been unstoppable this year. In recent interview the talented producer, writer and performer shared with Howard Stern the inspiration behind some of his biggest hits.

Stateboard P admitted to king of talk radio that he originally gave his international hit “Happy” to Cee Lo Green who recorded it. When Green’s people decided the song wasn’t a perfect fit for him, they shelved and it. Despite the success Pharrell has received with the song, he said, “Cee Lo’s version burns my version.”

In addition to talking music, the designer and author also opened up about his wife and son. He even shared that he once slept with eight women at one time.
