Frank Ocean Will Open For OutKast At Pemberton Music Festival

Music fans can count Frank Ocean as one of the many stars heading to the Great White North for the revived Pemberton Music Festival. The singer took to his Tumblr to announce that he’s going to the Canadian music fest that takes place in Pemberton, British Columbia to share the stage with some of music’s best. Ocean indicated that the show, along with Coachella, comes as he’s putting to bed his new album. A quick look at his post would seem to indicate he's up for the task of time management.

"I’m opening up for OutKast this summer at Pemberton so i might skip on Coachella to stay in the groove and finish this bitch… i feel like they’re finna wild out tho. Fuck it.. Bring the helicopter out."

The festival, which runs July 18-20, also includes Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dog, The Flaming Lips, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Blondie, St. Vincent, Violent Femmes, TV On The Radio, Deadmau5 and The New Pornographers.

This year marks the show’s return. The 2008 incarnation with headliners Coldplay, Jay-Z and The Flaming Lips drew some 40,000 people according to published reports. Close to 100 performances will be spread across Pemberton’s six performance areas which include a comedy stage as well.—G. Valentino Ball
