‘Letterman’ Has First Ever LGBT Rapper Performance
On the latest episode of Late Show with David Letterman, the host welcomed his first ever openly gay rapper. As NY’s own Le1f’s performed his single “Wut,” the LGBT entertainer made television history.
Letterman skimped mentioning Le1f’s sexuality upon introduction, simply welcoming the performer stating “Our next guest is a New York rapper and producer, and he’s making his network television debut with us right here tonight, so that’s great, thank you very much for that. His new EP is titled Hey or Hey! Please welcome Le1f.”
Le1f was very appreciative of Letterman’s hospitality later tweeting:
thank you so much to @Letterman for inviting me to perform on his stage as a musician and not as a spectacle. that's major.
