50 Cent Confronts Steve Stoute At Knicks Game

50centstevestoute500x362

50 Cent and Steve Stoute had what looked like a heated exchange during last night’s New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors game at Madison Square Garden. Cameras captured a few snap shots of the confrontation which didn’t seem too pleasant. No audio was caught of the encounter but the hard feelings may stem from Fif’s time Sony/Columbia when he was dropped after infamously being shot in 2000. At the time, Stoute was the President of Urban Music. 50 has since spoken about his distrust for the former music mogul. More recently, Stoute excluded Jackson from his list of influential artists during an interview with The Breakfast Club saying the Queens rap star hasn’t been relevant in a while.

    50!
Yes! you say my name in any negative way & I’ll approach you too. 50 would’ve smacked fire out his ass if there wasn’t 30,000 people watching, me still might. Some people might try to say “he mad cause Stoute said the truth” but I don’t give a fuck, you say some slick shit about me & get ready cause I’m coming. So I respect 50 for this and that’s why a fuck with him, whether he got a hit record or not.

    Real recognize real.

  • AZ40

U can’t front 50 was pretty fuckin influential…I mean he made that “beef” shit crazy viable his grind and hustle was impeccable I mean give the man his props

    • NativeNewYorker

Key word is WAS. He’s not right now.

      • di

Not relevant? This article has the most comment on XXL!! GRODT was released 10 years ago and still 50 is the most talked about rapper dats relevant

        • NativeNewYorker

So. The same people commenting are the same people who wouldn’t cop a 50 album if it dropped tomorrow. Don’t get it twisted I like 50 but his days of being a pop icon and big unit mover is over. Stoute didn’t mean any disrespect but he had a valid point.

          • di

haha really ?! lol just the fact that your waisting your time as the same as all the people here commenting proves the efficient of this publicity stunt, and publicity stunt good or bad ALWAYS pays off, so if u want so bad that 50 dont succeed anymore in any way just stop commenting your just growing more the anticipation of his next album lol and who gives a fuck if 50 didnt had a big hit in the last years, when the last time eminem had a big hit before his last album? what about nas? lox? even ja-z before the wath the throne album jay-z had 2 trash album but kanye had resurect his name with that pop album.. of course 50 wont be as popular as in 2004 anymore like jay-z aint as popular like in 1998 but he can still put out quality real hiphop album if he want to and do decent numbers if the production is right he can go back on top like eveybody else can

          • NativeNewYorker

You sound foolish. Where do I type that I don’t want 50 to succeed????? I never said that. I don’t have beef with dude. He has no anticipation for his next album. lol. I like 50 but I ain’t a groupie either. Your points hold no weight. Eminem has hits whenever he drops. Each album. Jay sells records with or without Kanye. Jay may not be in his prime anymore but he is one of the biggest names in hip hop and he just sold like 2 million records. Not saying sells are everything because even tho i’m a Jay fan I didn’t like MCHG. However in terms of pop culture he is still influential and that’s all Stoute was saying. 50 Cent last joint went just gold and now that he isn’t with Interscope he’s bound to sell even less. Can he drop a good album? Sure!!!!!! However it won’t a smash and that only adds to Steve Stoute’s point.

          • ICON KAIN

THIS SHIT IS AOUT HIP-HOP .sTP WITH THE POP SHIT!!!!!!

          • NativeNewYorker

That’s cool. Well Street King Immortal ain’t exactly anticipated much in hip hop circles either. So there you go.

          • di

your wrong eminem relapse was a huge flop so as jay-z kingdom come so my fuckin point is stoute is wrong by saying 50 is done, anybody can come back but at the same time he will never come back as hard as before because 50 wont change his style and in 2014 hiphop dont sell anymore thats why em changed his style on his last album as so as jay-z with that collabo kanye west pop hoe album the only way to stay ”relevant” is too switch into pop if u listen to stout.. i have to admit hes right for that though but thank god theres still real rappers out there like 50 and mobb deep just hope he still do some numbers or else they may all quit and hiphop will be officialy dead

          • NativeNewYorker

You call mr Candy Shop and Amusement Park a “real” rapper. lol. So what do you call Nas? Jada? AZ? Plus lyrically you can make the case that Em and Jay are better then 50 and Mobb. Relapse sold 2 million. 5 worldwide. I didn’t know that was a flop. lol. Plus you forget that American Gangster dropped after Kingdom Come and AG is one of Jay’s most underrated albums. At least in my opinion. Plus for you to call KC a flop is foolish because it sold more (2.5 mil) then the “pop” albums you compare it to. Hip hop been dead since the 90s. We’ll agree to disagree.

          • di

sales dont make u a better rapper !! yes relapse was a huge flop there is nothing memorable on this album and im a em fan, and yes i like more mobb deep than jay and i dont base my opinion to like a rapper for its fuckin sales like u lol, and for 50 candy shop lol they all make corny songs for the radio and clubs u must know that if your expecting your fav rapper to sell u think nas hate me now was better than candy shop ? same bs :p

          • NativeNewYorker

I mentioned Nas, AZ and Jada as rappers I like so how do I base my opinion to like a artist on sales???? You are truly a clown. lol. Those 3 I mentioned are not unit movers so you got me mixed up with the next man. In addition I’m no Eminem fan. Not at all. Never dug him as an artist but I do respect his lyricism. Maybe that album Relapse wasn’t memorable for you but anything that sells 2 million records is no flop. People would kill to have those numbers. Does that mean it’s good? No. A flop for Eminem is selling gold. lol. Plus I can’t believe you compared Nas Hate Me Now with Candy Shop. Whatever tho. We not gonna agree on this subject so it what it is. Have a nice day.

          • di

yes im a clown LOL .. everybody have his own opinion in hiphop and i respect that.. 50 of course aint the best rapper of all time but still i like his style and im nostalgic of the g-unit/shady/aftermath era and he have classic material u cant deny that, he also stay true to himself by not trying to change his style just for more sells so whatever he puts out i always anticipate and i think he still got it… :p

          • di

i think the real problem with him is just that he suffers from his 2004 success.. he was so on top at that time (not to mention that he was the only relevant ny rapper at that time) that people now just ALWAYS compare him to that moment that he cant be on top like before and that hes not relevant anymore and shit… what about other rappers??!! like jadakiss or raekwon u never hear conversation that these rappers are not relevant anymore but they dont really release shit either!! why 50 should be less relevant than those 2 ?! if u look at it they dont release as much material than 50?! 50cent has release more mixtapes than those 2 together last year!

          • NativeNewYorker

Only relevant NY rapper? Did you forget about Jay? lol. And 50 DID change his style. If you remember his Power Of The Dollar days and him at his height he definitely changed his style. Nothing wrong with that. Dudes gotta eat. As for 50 I don’t think he’s compared to his past as much. Then again I think it’s a bit of hatred out there for him based on his ego when he was on top. I got 50′s albums and as long as a record is good I don’t care what it sells. As for Jada and Rae they was never big unit movers so they was never on the level of 50 popularity wise. They don’t have the same goals as 50. I think 50 hasn’t released his SKI because he knows it’s not gonna sell and his ego can take it. People will also talk junk about him. He wants to avoid that.

  • fresh2death

Goes to show u no matter how rich 50 is u talk shit u get dealt with… I agree no matter if he ain’t had an album out in a while I still fuk with 50.. Probably one if not the last real gangsta ass nigga left..much props to fif…
