Will Smith Is The Devil
Winter's Tale, starring Colin Farrell and Jessica Brown Findlay casts Will Smith as Lucifer, according to Variety. The uncredited role as the devil in the forthcoming film sees Will confront Russell Crowe, who plays a crime boss and demon.
Director Akiva Goldsman (I, Robot and I Am Legend) says he specifically sought out Will Smith for the role.
“I wanted the most charming man in the world to play the Devil,” Goldsman tells Variety. “And he’s the most charming man in the world.”
Based on a 1983 novel by Mark Helprin, Winter's Tale hits theaters Friday, Feb. 14.
