On Monday night (Feb. 24), part one of Steve Stoute’s Tanning of America mini-doc premiered on VH1. Today, the business mogul talks with Hot 97′s Angie Martinez about hip-hop and rap’s most influential artists. Stoute quickly dubbed Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Puff and Kanye West as current influencers, and gave a nod to Pharrel Williams and Rick Ross before explaining why he’s leaving 50 off his list.

“50 hasn’t had a hit in a really long time. He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a very really long time.” Stoute said. “I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens. Hopefully, now that he’s independent and there’s no record company to blame, his aggressive content can get on the air.”

    So so true!

The problem with 50 is he lost his cool with all the aggressiveness and bulletproof bull5h!t right after GRODT, he ain’t gotta be soft or nothing but, he shoulda kept poking fun at rappers, got’em mad, and then went for the kill. Jay ain’t never lost his cool.

Steve Stoute sounds butthurt that 50 said he didn’t like him on the Funk Flex interview.

  • Clondyke Classic

50′s success in rap was based on his beef’n wit rappers. Dat shit was cool til he started beef’n wit southern artist.. ricc ross (as much as y’all may not like him) put the final nail in the g unit coffin

Here’s 50′s problem: he keeps talking about the same ish that he USED to do. A man with now easily over 100 million doesn’t live the same lifestyle that the GRODT 50 did. So when he spits the guntalk and D boy slang, we don’t believe it anymore. And on top of that, the starting beef with others got real old, real fast. If he stuck to the poking fun at rappers and storytelling over hot beats, stans wouldn’t be having this discussion right now.

If I was 50 I wouldn’t get upset or respond Steve Stoute won’t be relevant after today just for only 24 hours
