Kanye West has a pretty good resume when it comes to producing other people’s LPs. Common’s Be, Pusha T’s My Name Is My Name and John Legend’s Love In The Future all featured ‘Ye’s golden touch. Recently, we saw the G.O.O.D. Music leader in the studio with YMCMB’s Tyga, which clearly meant something was cooking. Lo and behold, it appears Kanye will be the Executive Producer for Tyga’s The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. We bet a lot of people called that.
The problem is Tyga hasn’t made a decent LP since Careless World: Rise Of The Last King. Hotel California had a few gems on it, but didn’t match up to the caliber of his first album under a major label. Can ‘Ye work his magic?
While we wait and see the results unfold, the XXL staff wanted to put together other artists we’d like to see ‘Ye work with. He has directly influenced some of these people, so if they were to get an opportunity to be in the studio with Yeezus, only dope things would happen. Read our wish list above.
