In order to achieve fame, some individuals go through great lengths. For two DC rappers, that meant flying 6,000 miles away to one of the most militarized places in the world. Pacman and Peso, two young rappers based in Southeast Washington, D.C, debuted the first rap video to ever be filmed in North Korea today.

Back in November, XXL got an opportunity to speak to the duo on why go to great lengths for just one video. They believed it would get them out the streets and when their friend Michael Bassett was going to North Korea for a visit, they jumped on the opportunity. They used Kickstarter to promote the trip, plus with a large amount of public support, they were able to raise over $10,000 and go overseas to shoot the video. Check it out above.
