Eminem has won a variety of awards over his career, including a bevy of MTV video music awards and even an Oscar. Now he has another to add to his collection.

Slim Shady has won artist of the year at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards, which is currently being held in New York. The award came only minutes before he performed a live rendition of his fiery single “Rap God,” which is off his newest album, The Marshal Mathers LP 2. Em took over YouTube’s Twitter account last week to answer questions in promotion of his performance and the award show.

Elsewhere, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won the show’s breakthrough award, which represents the biggest growth in YouTube video views over the past year.
