Kendrick Lamar Fires Shots At Drake During His BET Cypher Freestyle

Ever since Kendrick Lamar started calling out his names in his verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” the world has been patiently waiting to find out what K. Dot will do next. AllHipHop has gotten their hands on an exclusive 15-second snippet from Kendrick’s upcoming BET Cypher appearance at the upcoming BET Hip-Hop Awards and apparently, Kendrick has some choice words for Drake.

“Yeah… and nothing’s been the same since they dropped “Control”/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/ Ha-ha jokes on you, high-five… I’m bulletproof/ Your sh*ts a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake…,” Kendrick raps on his freestyle, flanked by his fellow artists of TDE.

Last week, Drake released his third album, Nothing Was The Same, an event that Kendrick is seemingly referencing in his BET Cypher verse. In August, Drake was directly called out by Kendrick in a different verse on Big Sean’s “Control”  and in recent times, Drake has been responding to K. Dot’s “Control” verse with various degrees of dismissal. In a Billboard cover story, Drake responding to K. Dot’s verse saying, “It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That’s all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”

Meanwhile in a recent verse on Drake’s “The Language,” Drizzy delivered some lines that many fans saw as a veiled reference to Kendrick’s verse.

“I don’t know who you’re referring to, who is this nigga you heard about?/Someone just talking that bullshit, man someone just gave you the run-around,” Drake rapped on the song. It is yet to be seen if Drake will respond directly to Kendrick after K. Dot’s latest rebuke of the Toronto rapper.

You can watch a 15-second snippet of Kendrick’s BET Cypher verse in the video above. The BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on October 15.

Drake is a pussy. Kendrick is murdering him on the hip-hop front. Drake is a whiny bitch and Kendrick is actually providing real music for those interested. Commercially, Drake sells more but good kid m.a.a.d city is 10 times better than anything Drake has put out. Now, I don’t hate all Drake’s music but it just doesn’t measure up to the thought-provoking, quality music Kendrick creates.

wait wait so he’s the judge on what real music is? lol stop. its all relative just from different points of views. drake relates on a more emotional level like he could be someone you know telling you what he’s going through. Kendrick is more socially conscious with his music and preaches more than he empathizes(its ok you can google it)…ok like i was saying people just look up to Kendrick more cause he’s kinda like your older cousin telling you to watch out for the pitfalls of life and the game that he experienced rather that telling you the emotions he felt when he was going through it. they are both real and do not need to be discredited and they are where they are because they are the best at what they do. i love Kendrick but i just think people will expect a “control” like verse from now on or “reaction rap”. could be a career killer. oh and next time learn how to make point/impact in a discussion without using muthafuka or fucka. did the thought provoking Kendrick teach you that? cause i see no thoughts to provoke. lol end of novel.
          Da’frican out!!

People dont know what real hip hop is anymore and kendrick is trying to bring that back. Hip Hop isint about pussy money weed its about real life thought provoking cyphers and battles. This music now is Rap not hip hop

    • icon kain

Kdot isn’t doing hip hop no favor. in fact hes making it worst. the stuff he doing is what got bigg and tupac beef going. the last thing hip-hop need is more beef and its unnecessary at that. he just begging for attention why start beef to sell records. if u got it then do it on your own merits not another raper.

  • D’AFRICAN

KENDRICK JUST BOXED HIMSELF IN. IF HE’S NOT DISSING FROM NOW TILL THE END OF HIS CAREER HE’LL GET ZEROOOOO ATTENTION WHICH WILL MEAN THE END OF HIS CAREER. VICIOUS CYCLE. GOOD LUCK K.DOT. YOU ONLY HAVE 13 MINS OF YOUR 15 MINS OF FAME LEFT

He didn’t make a name for himself by dissing. Just because he’s throwing small jabs at people now doesn’t mean that’s his whole career. He has a lot more to offer.

And what’s up with all caps? You really hate this nigga, don’t you?

      • D’AFRICAN

NAH I LIKE KENDRICK BUT MOST OF ALL I LOVE MEEK MILL THAT EXPLAINS THE ALL CAPS. SO IMAGINE EVERYTHING I SAY IN (MEEK MILL SCREAM)( HIS TIME IS TICKING TOO). LIKE YOU SAID HE DIDN’T MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF BY DISSING THAT’S WHY HE NEEDS TO STEP BACK. I MEAN A HIGH 5? REALLY? 90′S BUD LIGHT COMMERCIAL SHIT

From what I hear and see, I think this cipher will be dope, however I don’t think he was going at Drake in the snippet. Someone quote the line for me where he did in the cipher. I’m gonna look again. It might be going over my head.

  • YOFOREAL

Kendrick looks desperate, man. I mean, Drake is the world’s easiest target. I don’t see how Kendrick wins this. Drake has the element of surprise. Whats Kendrick gonna say: Drake is pop / soft. That’s what everyone says. Big deal

  • BlakKat

It was a diss to Papoose’s diss not DRAKE

  • notaretard

    it’s not even a drake diss… its clearly papoose he’s dissing…
