Chinx Reveals Artwork For ‘I’ll Take It From Here’ Coming In November

Chinx is reshaping his image. In November, the Coke Boyz member is dropping his debut EP I’ll Take It From Here, which will be his first release under his new pseudonym. He’s literally whipping away “Drugz” from his name to focus on bringing quality music to his fans.

XXL heard a few rough cuts of his EP during a private listening session held at the plush Bellucci Napoli in Midtown Manhattan. Chinx is taking his time with his project, paying special attention to his lyricism and the direction he wants to take. “Fuck Your Feelings” featuring French Montana sounds perfect as a lead single. Over an ominous beat, Chinx unleashes a few confident rhymes right next to French who also mans the hook. Chinx pulls a few lines from Biggie’s verse on “Notorious Thugs,” paying homage with “armed and dangerous, ain’t too many can bang with us.” He’s spitting his game and talking his shit.

I’ll Take It From Here will show his range that’s vastly different from his street burner “I’m A Coke Boy.” Chinx has a song that details the thrills of partying in New York City backed by an angelic beat. Another is “Wrist Litt”, where Chinx’s rhymes about stunting and nabbing ladies will grow on you. “I catch the pussy / All you niggas catching is fish,” he boasts. From this early preview, Chinx has the potential to keep his movement going strong.
