Cam’ron Says Jay Z Stretched The Truth On “Pound Cake”

In Jay Z’s verse on Drake’s “Pound Cake” he makes claims about turning several of his Roc-A-Fella artist into millionaires, including Cam’ron who denied the claims on his “Come And Talk To Me (Remix).” Cam recently chopped it up with KarenCivil at a screening for new hood series, 1st Of The Month and spoke on Jigga’s claims and his response. “I thought it came from nowhere basically,” said Killa. “Just to clarify, I don’t think Jay was necessarily taking shots at me. I just stated the facts of the scenario. He said he made more millionaires than the lotto did, but I knew Jay when he didn’t have a million, when none of us had a million, when Dame and them were on the come-up.”

The Dipset rapper explained that he was proud of all of their successes and thinks Hov could have worded his verse differently as to not infer that he was given a hand out. “I respect what all of us have done because I know where we all come from. But the way he put his lyrics [together] and made it seem like he made niggas money or put them in the place where they was supposed to be… He could’ve worded it like he helped niggas make more millions, instead of saying you made niggas millionaires.”

I can dig it Cam and he’s right about wording things differently …I don’t think Hov was dissing no one plus them 2 legends should leave that beef sh*t for the younger generation so I can see the next Game killing G-Unot beef or 50 cent murdering Ja Rule beef lmao

I don’t get what Cam is saying here. Maybe he was a millionaire before working with Jay (same for Lyor Cohen), but I’m not sure Biggs and Dame and Beanie Sigel had millions before Jay…at least not legally.
