Wale Recorded A Song For ESPN’s New Documentary, ‘RGIII: The Will To Win’

Wale has been known to rep Washington D.C. in his songs, so one would assume The Gifted rapper supports the sports teams from the area as well. Apparently, that's what ESPN thought because the network has recruited Wale to record a song called "No Pain No Gain" for RGIII: The Will To Win, a documentary created with Gatorade about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. The film is about Griffin's recovery from a knee injury he incurred during last season’s playoffs.

In the trailer for the film, you get to see Griffin on the path to recovery—jumping rope, lifting weights, hanging out in an ice bath—as Wale provides an inspirational soundtrack filled with lines about carrying the city on your back and overcoming adversary. It's all pretty inspiring in that classic NFL Films way. Check out the clip above.
