Frank Ocean was forced to cancel his sold-out Australian tour after suffering from some throat problems on the first show. Ocean visited a doctor who revealed he has a tear in one of his vocal chords.

"After last night's concert... it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show," the promoter comments in a statement. "It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice."

Ocean has canceled Friday’s show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, as well as two shows next week on July 29 and 30 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion. He also had a appearance at Splendour in the Grass on Sunday that is canceled. Tickets are to be refunded.
